Iran holding green rice festival

Jokol (young green rice seedling) festival is currently being held in Iran Rasht city, the provincial capital of Gilan Province.

A pedestrian street based in the city hosts the event.

 During the unique festival, young green rice sprouts picked before cropping are offered as a local snack food of the Iranian city.    

The event is set to draw to a close on August 11, 2017.
